Change of Plans

Looks like the coast we are on is due for some nasty weather. We are going to play it safe and head to Merida.

The storm is due to hit in a day or two but we are heading inland today just to be safe. Merida is a beautiful city and is the capital of the Yucatan and will be a great break from our coastal experience. I will try to post our hotel information as soon as I can.

Storm path information for hurricane Emily:

The purpose of posting this is to let people know we are aware and taking measures well ahead of the storms arrival. Amie has her cell phone upgraded with global service and Merida is a huge and well protected city. In this case its safety first

Our stay in Tulum has been our best yet. The water couldnt get any clearer and the ruins are right on the beach. We are staying in a cabana on the beach in a place that used to be called Don Armandos but changed its name to something I will not attempt to pronounce. We can actually see the ruins from our beachfront.

Noboby should worry about us. We are in good hands and keeping safe. I will post more when I know more.
